Leadership

Administrator - Carolyn DeSalvo

Carolyn DeSalvo has been serving as administrator of Bethany Christian School since 2002. Mrs. DeSalvo holds a B.A. in English from Loyola University and a M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from Southern University. She worked as Assistant Vice President at Telegraph Savings and Loan in Chicago in the late 1970's through early 1980's. She had 14 years of teaching experience prior to coming on board at BCS. She is currently serving in her 14th year at BCS - 9th year as administrator. Mrs. DeSalvo is a chairman on the ICAA Commission for Accreditation of Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Christian Schools. She has 3 children (all graduates of BCS) and 2 grandchildren.


Secondary Supervisor - Kathy Moise

Kathy Moise has been a teacher at BCS for 29 years. In 1998, she became the Secondary Supervisor. She presently supervises grades 6-12 and teaches math and science. Ms. Moise holds a B.S in Chemical Engineering from LSU. She enjoys implementing Project Based Learning in the classroom.


Elementary Supervisor - Susan Bickham

Susan Bickham has been a teacher at BCS since 1988. She taught fifth grade and second grade until becoming Elementary Supervisor in 1999. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from Southeastern Louisiana University. She also holds a M.Ed degree from Oral Roberts University in Christian School Education Administration. Before coming on staff at BCS, Mrs. Bickham taught for 2 years in Pointe Coupee public schools and 1year at Christ for the Nations in Dallas, TX. She has three children and three grandchildren, all the loves of her life (along with her husband, Dickey).
